Hello, All Technical birds!

A warmed welcome to all my beloved reader.

So now we are here to discuss about social media trends.

Recently, I have seen a news in which, The Founder and CEO of Facebook, Mr. Mark Zuckerberg had said that we are planning to unifying the underlying messaging systems of WhatsApp, Instagram and messenger. Facebook is also working on adding end to end encryption across the remaining services which don’t have them at the moment.

Facebook bought Instagram in 2011 for $1bn and WhatsApp in 2014 for an eye watering $19bn. Whilst Messenger, the native instant messaging service for Facebook duplicates a lot of the features, each has their own advantages that together could result in a single powerhouse of a services.

Merging WhatsApp, Instagram, messenger chats will improve security, create an I-Messege like experience

WhatsApp incorporated end-to-end encryption a few years back while the other two don’t have it enable or present at all.

After, the encryption all the messaging apps like- Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, we all can access all these Platform in one stand-alone app.

This unification comes across as a move to fight the growing fragmentation among messaging services and the loss of users to other platforms such as telegram.

So, the real motto of the company, behind joining all these platforms in one platform, is that it will become more difficult for regulatory bodies to break up Facebook from the other two services should there be an antitrust lawsuit.

There are some pros and cons about this: –

PROS –

If they conjoint all these messaging app. So you can reach everyone’s Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp if you have any one of single access and you can do messages and share picture file everything to all their platform which they are registered.

“We want to build the best messaging experiences we can; and people want messaging to be fast, simple, reliable and private,” a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement on Friday. “We’re working on making more of our messaging products end-to-end encrypted and considering ways to make it easier to reach friends and family across networks. As you would expect, there is a lot of discussion and debate as we begin the long process of figuring out all the details of how this will work.”

And you can check them if you have any type of access to their accounts. Its more beneficiary for company too.

CONS

It has a lot of negative things to when they co-joint with each other. It doesn’t have any privacy over there for being as user.

“There’s a world where Facebook Messenger and Instagram get upgraded to the default encryption of WhatsApp, but that probably isn’t happening,” Johns Hopkins’ Green says. “It’s too technically challenging and would cost Facebook access to lots of data.”

And while end-to-end encryption can’t solve every privacy issue for everyone all the time anyway, it’s harder to know how to take advantage of it safely when a service doesn’t offer it consistently, and creates potential privacy issues when it centralizes identities.

“I think they can work this out,” Fenton says. “The bigger problem in my opinion is user confusion.”

So I’m waiting for that eagerly. It can brings a lot of changes in social media.
